The Killers will record their new album on the road.
The 'Human' rockers said they are about to begin work on a covers project and intend to set down tracks in between live shows.
Drummer Ronnie Vanucci said: "We're probably going to cut most of it out on the road. I brought my mobile recording rig, so we just set up backstage with some extra gear - a drum set, a couple of practice amps and we mic everything up. It sounds excellent."
The group admit they have no definite plans for the record as yet as they are still struggling to decide on which songs to include.
Speaking to NME, frontman Brandon Flowers added: "It's still in the dream stages. It's something that we've always talked about doing and we're still talking about it.
"It's difficult for us each to pick songs that represent us as individuals. I mean, I have a lot of personalities myself!
"I've gone through everything from Neil Diamond to The Cars."
