THE KILLERS will be supported on their upcoming tour dates by British comedian Jimmy Carr, it has been reported.
The Las Vegas rockers think that Carr could start the evening warming up their fans with jokes.
Carr, who hosts Channel 4's comedy quiz show 8 Out of 10 Cats, recently opened for the band on one of their two-nights at London's Royal Albert Hall.
According to The Sun, frontman Brandon Flowers reportedly described him as the band's Joey Bishop.
Joey was the Rat Pack's unsung hero who would entertain the crowd with jokes and gags before Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr came on.
Flowers said: "We had met Jimmy before, at a Comic Relief gig, then we bumped into him again at a party a couple of weeks ago.
"We were just throwing ideas around and having a comedian as part of the show sounded like a Las Vegas thing to do - it used to be common in the sixties and seventies. Jimmy seemed to like it so we are giving it a go."
