Members of the Arcade Fire and the National have played collaborative Sufjan Stevens tracks on radio.
Aaron and Bryce Dessner from the National and Richard Reed Perry of the Arcade Fire have done a guest DJ slot on BBC 6 Music radio.
Pitchfork reports that they premiered two previously unheard Sufjan Stevens tracks, a cover of 'Silent Night' and new track 'Barcarola', on which they all appeared.
Aaron Dessner explained that Stevens records a Christmas album every year for his friends, and the Dessners and Reed chipped in on 'Silent Night' 'a few years ago in his attic in Brooklyn'.
There probably won't be an official release for the songs, but you can hear them on BBC 6 here, as well as their other Yuletide picks, which included 13th Floor Elevators, Kronos Quartet, Owen Pallett, Bon Iver and The Band.
