The Foo Fighters are heading back to the UK charts - albeit via a cover version by a contestant on The Voice UK. Listen to Christina Marie's cover of 'Everlong' below.
The singer, who is one of the favourites to win the show, is currently inside the UK iTunes Top 50 with her cover of the 1997 track, after performing the cover on last night's show (22 March, 2014). She is mentored by former Kaiser Chiefs star Ricky Wilson.
A number of other contestants from the 2014 series have also hit the iTunes chart with songs performed on the Saturday night show, with singers Sally Barker, Emily Adams, Jermain Jackman, Bizzi Dixon and Jamie Johnson all placing inside the Top 200.
The Foo Fighters are currently working on a brand new album, but other than that rumour, details around the band's eighth LP have been scant - but speaking to BBC Radio One's Zane Lowe, the frontman let slip a few hints about what's been going on.
"We haven't really disclosed exactly what we are doing," said Grohl. "We're doing something that no-one really knows about and we'll announce pretty soon I think.
"I know what it sounds like and I honestly think the entire concept is really going to take people by surprise and it sounds nuts."
Grohl added: "We recorded something the other day that's unlike anything we've ever done and it starts with a fuse and then it explodes."
