Overview
Tony Christie has been announced as the latest addition to the V Festival 2005 line-up.
The crooner, who has topped the UK singles chart for the past six weeks with '(Is This The Way To) Amarillo', will now make his debut festival appearance at the summer event.
He said: “V will be my first ever UK festival and I am really looking forward to playing to a festival crowd."
He will join a line-up which also includes Oasis, Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters, Embrace, Maroon 5, Ian Brown, Jet, Kaiser Chiefs and The Music.
V Festival 2005 will take place at Staffordshire's Weston Park and Chelmsford's Hylands Park between August 20-21.
