Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are getting married on June 14, it has been claimed.
The pair – who have been together for over 10 years and have two children, eight-year-old Lily-Rose and six-year-old Jack – have always insisted they don't feel the need to legalise their relationship, but French singer Vanessa is now keen to tie the knot.
A source close to the couple is quoted on website MSNBC as saying: "Vanessa recently told Johnny that she would love to have a wedding. Johnny loves Vanessa very much, and he said if that's what would make her happy, then he would marry her."
'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Johnny – who recently said the couple were "for all intents and purposes married" – is planning to have the ceremony in Georgia to make it convenient for his family who live in Florida. The source added: "Lily-Rose and Jack are really excited about it.
Actually - the whole family is excited. They're going to send out invitations in a few weeks." Johnny has previously admitted he would be reluctant to tie the knot because he loves Vanessa's surname.
He said: "It would be a shame to ruin her last name! It's so perfect - Vanessa Paradis. So beautiful. It would be such a drag to stick her with Paradis-Depp. It's like a flat note! "But if she ever said, 'Hey, let's get hitched', I would do it in a second. We'll do it if the kids want us to, or maybe when the kids are old enough to enjoy it with us."
