Victoria Beckham found the Spice Girls' Olympic performance "hard work", it has been claimed.
The singer-turned-designer joined her former bandmates Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm for a one-off reunion at the London Olympic Games closing ceremony last week. During their set they wowed the world with a fun performance of some of their most popular hits.
Sources claim that despite the polished appearance, the mom-of-four found it difficult to juggle her busy lifestyle and the gig.
"She was honoured to have been asked to take part in the closing ceremony, but found rehearsals hard work, both physically and emotionally," an insider told UK magazine Closer.
The source also claimed that the reunion of the former band members wasn't all smooth sailing.
Known as five larger-than-life characters, it has been claimed that things got uncomfortable between the headstrong individuals at times.
"It was awkward and tense between the girls and she [Victoria] was trying not to grimace every time Mel B shouted loudly or Geri laughed. She did have a big catch up chat with Emma, though," the insider said.
