Victoria Beckham is said to have been so 'excited' about the arrival of baby Harper Seven that the nursery had been ready 'for weeks' before the birth.
The 37-year-old gave birth to her first daughter on Sunday, but she was preparing for her arrival much in advance and could not wait to meet her.
A source close to Victoria told People magazine that the fashion designer was beside herself with anticipation of finally holding her much wanted little girl.
'She was saying, 'I just want her to get here and want to be holding her in my arms ' not in my belly,'' the insider said.
'She had not been all that tired until the end, when it is just so hard to be active so pregnant.'
Victoria had kept busy throughout her pregnancy, flying back and forth from the US to Europe on business.
She is unveiling her latest clothing collection in September and was also hectic raising her three sons with soccer star husband David, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz.
'She was so excited and really just ready for the baby,' the source shared. 'But it was a crazy explosion keeping all their schedules together.
'She [had] been working really hard to get as much done as possible before Harper's arrival. She was unsure of how she would manage time and schedule after [Harper] arrived.'
Proud new father David was 'of course over the moon about her arrival,' the source continued and did his part leading up to the expansion of their family.
'He was around town taking the boys to and from camp and to their soccer lessons ' all the stuff he usually shared with Victoria,' the insider explained.
The Beckham boys are said to be a 'well-mannered bunch' and old enough to know what was happening and are looking forward to looking after their little sister.
