Victoria Beckham to open her own clothes shop in New York

The 37-year-old former Spice Girl was reportedly working on the new plan while she was pregnant with her baby daughter Harper Seven.

It's claimed that she will be opening a new shop on Fifth Avenue in New York, as well as working on new plans to “expand her fashion empire” online.

A source told UK newspaper The People: 'Victoria may well have already achieved success with her clothing line but, for the past few months, she has been working on a plan, so people can buy her clothes with the touch of a button.

'Of course, Victoria will be a stay-at-home mum for the next few months following last week's birth of Harper, so that is why she has come up with a plan to expand her fashion empire and control it from her laptop at home.'

The source added: 'Victoria is looking to open a store in New York on the prestigious Fifth Avenue, which is home to fashion icons such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana.

'Victoria's denim range is already on sale at Saks department store on Fifth Avenue. But since launching her own collection three years ago, she believes it is about time she had her very own boutique there.'
