Victoria Beckham hopes her children will have the same "incredible work ethic" as her husband David.
The fashion designer and her soccer star spouse have sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, ten, and Cruz, seven, as well as 18-month-old daughter Harper together. Although the youngsters are used to having famous parents and never want for anything, Victoria is determined they will learn how important it is to strive to be the best.
"I don't have to work, I need to work," she told the March edition of UK Elle magazine. "All these people [fellow fashion designers], they've not just been given anything. They've worked hard. And I've never been given anything either. But I have a good work ethic; David has an incredible work ethic. I want my kids to have a good work ethic. I believe you can achieve anything if you work hard enough to get it."
Victoria found fame thanks to British girl group the Spice Girls, before launching her fashion lines.
The star and her band mates Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Mel C reunited to perform at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony and also for the launch of a musical based on their songs called Viva Forever! later last year.
Although their joint appearances are always highly anticipated, Victoria still has trouble believing she has fans of her own.
"When I was on stage with the Spice Girls, I thought people were there to see the other four and not me," the 38-year-old explained. "And when I go out with David and people take pictures I think, "They're here to take David's picture."
The star's fashion empire has been a huge hit with the Hollywood A-list, with stars such as Jennifer Lopez pictured in her dresses. Victoria puts part of her success down to how involved she is with every aspect of her company.
"You've got to trust people. And because I am a control freak, sometimes that's difficult for me, because I want to micro-manage absolutely everything," she laughed.
The family have recently moved back to the UK following their stint in Los Angeles. Part of the reason they chose to relocate after David's contract with LA Galaxy ended is thought to be so Victoria can be nearer her fashion headquarters in London.
The star explained the whole family are "very excited about what lies ahead for 2013".
