The White Stripes are miffed about a movie about them being shown at film festivals.
The band has posted a notice on their site warning fans about the concert video, "Nobody Knows How To Talk To Children."
The band says filmmaker George Roca asked if he could record their New York shows. The band agreed as long as Roca understood the White Stripes owned the film, and they signed a contract to that effect.
The band saw an edited version of the film, but they were unhappy with the sound and the editing.
Roca's attorney contacted the band for permission to show the film at festivals, but the band refused, both personally and through their lawyers. However, the White Stripes say Roca is showing the film at festivals anyway, in spite of the contract they signed.
