The nine-year-old singing sensation, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, has emerged as one of this year’s most surprising R&B stars, as well as becoming somewhat of a style icon.
Willow admits she loves the wacky outfits of eccentric singer Lady Gaga, but she won’t be trying to emulate her on October 31.
Instead, Willow wants to knock on doors in her regular attire, asking people whether they like her music. The star will then reveal herself once people open the door, hoping they will have told her they’re a fan.
“I'm gonna be myself, and I'm gonna go around the neighbourhood saying, 'Do you like Willow Smith?' And then I'm gonna be like, 'Ta-da! It's me,'” she told MTV.
Willow’s unique idea will ensure she’ll stand out from the crowd this weekend when revellers will take to the streets in the usual ghoul and witch disguises.
Furthermore, her plan to shun any Lady Gaga style outfits certainly bucks the trend in the US right now.
It has been reported that costumes of the wacky pop star are currently outselling all others at worldwide costume manufacturer Rubie’s as fans prepare for October 31.
“Lady Gaga is the single most popular costume we’ve sold for adults in our 59 years in business,” Howard Beige, the company’s executive vice president revealed.
