Overview
Thousands of X Factor viewers were asked in a new YouGov poll who they would like to see as a judge after reports that Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole are not planning to return for another series.
One fifth of those polled said they wanted Gary Barlow to join the panel with Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh when the new season starts later this year.
According to UK newspaper The Sun, Williams only received 14 per cent of the vote to become a judge on the show while Sharon Osbourne got 18 per cent of the vote.
In third place was Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger after she received 16 per cent of the vote.
