Tick tock, tick tock...by the end of Sunday night 70 will have become 24. The remaining acts will have to sing in front of a 5,000 strong audience....no pressure then.
Lucy Spraggan was first up, and she sang one of her own original tracks called 'Tea & Toast'. This was more like the Lucy we know. What an outstanding song writer.
This years pantomime villain, Rylan Clark was up next and in fairness to him, the vocal wasn't too bad. Yes, we know there are better singers, but for personality and entertainment, he is hard to beat this year.
A panic attack nearly ruined the chances for Jahmene, but he overcame it to give a near perfect performance. I still worry for him though, if he makes the lives shows. The pressure will be 50 times higher than bootcamp. Still a front runner. Perhaps a few relaxation classes would help!
The overs took centre stage next with Melanie Masson, Chris Maloney, Midas act Carolynne Poole and Kye Sones all showing that the overs are the strongest they have been for years.
From the groups section, I really liked Times Red and Triple J. I still think GMD3 need to improve and while although I admire the hunger of MK1, they're not bonding with me just yet.
Jade Elllis can do better than her showing tonight and Joseph Whelan and James Arthur completed another round of good vocals.
Last up to sing was 16 year old Ella Henderson. Ella is quite simply a star in the making, great vocalist with potential to blossom even further.
So that's it, it is now down to the judges to pick their Six acts for judges houses.
The Boys. Mentored by Nicole: James Arthur, Jahmene, Nathan Gayle, Adam Burridge, Rylan Clark, Jake Quickenden.
The Girls. Mentored by Tulisa: Ella Henderson, Amy Mottram, Jade Collins, Lucy Spraggan, Leanne Robinson and Jade Ellis.
The Overs. Mentored by Gary: Kye Sones, Melanie Masson, Nicola Marie, Brad Shackleton, Carolynne Poole and Christopher Maloney
And finally, after a sing off between Triple J and GMD3, the groups. Mentored by Louis are Mitsotu, Duke, MK1, Poisonous Twins, Rough Copy and GMD3.
BUT...STOP PRESS!!!!
…..ahead of Judges houses Rough Copy have had to withdraw meaning Triple J are reinstated (now called Union J) and trio Times Red have also been given a lifeline.
So Bootcamp is over for another year and for the remaining acts, it is down to them to give the performance of their lives.
Roll on Judges houses...
