Bonfire night is almost upon us once again. So, will the remaining acts light up the stage like an illumination of grandeur or fizzle out like a dark, damp sparkler.
Before I go on, I must say how saddened I was to see Lucy Spraggan leave the show this week because of illness. I want to personally wish her all the best for the future.
First up was the totes amaze Rylan Clark, who does seem like a nice Guy (no more bonfire night jokes, I promise). Joking aside, I thought Rylan gave us his performance of the series and love or hate him, the show would seem very dull without him.
Union J bounced back from the shock of being in the bottom two last week, the vocals were tight and they are starting to sound like a boy band now. Let's hope this continues.
Kye Sones had another bad week. I don't think the judges are hearing the same as us viewers. Some of his high notes were badly off key. At this moment in time, it's just not happening. Could be in trouble this week.
I also don't think this was a good week for James Arthur either. He is still in a league of his own though, having talent way beyond most of the acts. I look forward to seeing him back on the money next weekend.
Ella Henderson performed Firework with effortless ease. To be honest, most singers struggle live with this one. So very well done to Ella. Does this not prove she is a cut above. She has one of the best voices I have ever heard, in the history of the show.
Lads, lads, lads...I like District3 but this was a bad week for them. The harmonies were off and I have to agree with the judges, when they said they looked like they were not enjoying it. Another act in trouble this week.
After his performance this week, I think Jahmene can safely go and hand back his 'Asda' uniform. It suited Nicole well though. Maybe they could swap careers?? His future is well and truly in the music industry. Lovely lad with a phenomenal voice.
Last up was Christopher and as much as I want to give him a chance, I'm just not warming to his performances. Like I said last week, I can't knock his vocal, just think his kind of act is old school. too cabaret.
Before I go, I just want to wish 2011 X Factor contestant and singing soldier Jonjo Kerr, all the best, ahead of his performance at next Saturdays (10th November) Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.
