Hey! Hey! Hey!
I don't like walking around this
old and empty house
So hold my hand,
I'll walk with you my dear
The stairs creak as you sleep,
it's keeping me awake
It's the house telling you
to close your eyes
Some days I can't even trust myself
It's killing me to see you this way
'Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry
Our bodies safe to shore
Hey! Hey! Hey!
There's an old voice in my head
that's holding me back
Well, tell her that I miss
our little talks
Soon it will all be over,
and buried with our past
we used to play outside
when we were young,
And full of life and full of love
Some days I feel like I am wrong when I am right
Your mind is playing tricks on you my dear
'Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry
Our bodies safe to shore
Hey!
Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same
Hey!
'Cause though the truth may varyOf Monsters And Men - Little Talks - http://motolyrics.com/of-monsters-and-men/little-talks-lyrics.html
This ship will carry
Our bodies safe to shore
You're gone, gone, gone away
I wish you'd disappear
All that's left is a ghost of you
Now we're torn torn torn apart,
there's nothing we can do
Just let me go,
me against you
Now wait wait wait for me
Please hang around
I see you when I fall asleep
Hey!
Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same
Hey!
'Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry
Our bodies safe to shore
Don't listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same
Hey!
'Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry
Our bodies safe to shore
Though the truth may vary
This ship will carry
Our bodies safe to shore
Though the truth may vary
This ship will carry
Our bodies safe to shore
There are a number of errors in the lyrics:
1. In the first main block, "The stairs creak as I sleep" should be: "The stairs creak as you sleep"
2. In the second main block, "I tell her that I miss" should be "Well, tell her...
3. three lines down from #2, should be: "And buried...
4. The next line, "You used to play outside
when you were young," should be: "We used to play outside when we were young.
5. The last line of that block should be: "And full of life...
6. The line that reads, "Go go go away" should be "You're gone, gone, gone away"
7. The phrase "'Cause though the truth may vary" does not remain constant throughout the song...after a bit it becomes "And though the truth..." and the last two occurances are simply "Though the truth..."
8. The phrase "Some days I feel like I am wrong and I am right" - on the Youtube video above she seems to sing, "Some days I feel like I am wrong when I am right. But in the album version, she sings, "Some days I don't know when I am wrong or right"
It's important to actually listen to the song before posting lyrics.
