Seyfried revealed that she found it hard living in America while he was based in London, and said that it brought out her jealous side.
She told Marie Claire, 'Never date somebody who doesn't live in your country. It's heartbreaking and confusing and makes you go a little bit nuts.
'You don't know where they sleep at night. You start second-guessing everything. '
She continued, 'I miss London so much. Growing up and out of things, it's always like s***ty moving on. Changes are hard. I don't mind talking about him. It was a really great part of my life.'
The 25-year-old also confided that when she first clapped eyes on Dominic, 32, she thought he was homosexual.
'For some reason, I thought he was gay. I quickly learned he wasn't and I fell head over heels in love with him,' she said.
