Overview
Anne, 28, will play Selina Kyle alongside Christian Bale who returns in the title role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The movie will also star Tom Hardy as Batman's enemy, Bane.
Christopher Nolan, the movie's director, said, 'I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete out story.'
He added, 'I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman's most formidable enemies.'
The film, expected to be shot in 3D, will be released in July 2012.
