Ariana Grande has finally learned to cope with "very aggressive" people.
The 22-year-old pop star has one of the biggest online fan bases in the world, as over 43 million people are followers of her Instagram page.
As she matures Ariana's sensitivity is waning and the songstress is developing quite a thick skin.
"When I was younger, I used to get really hurt by it… because people can be very aggressive, especially on the internet when there's sort of like a wall of like, I can say whatever I want," she told Access Hollywood of dealing with trolls online. "I try to just take it with a grain of salt. I really try to do my best everyday with whatever I'm doing, whether it's like a performance or just whatever. I really try to do my best and that's really all I can do, so it's like if someone is upset with my hair… I really can't like get too emotionally invested."
Ariana believes an impossible standard of beauty exists in society.
And she is no longer concerned with living into what others consider to be gorgeous.
"There's always so much focus on like physical beauty and there's this standard that's set so high nowadays of like what it means to be pretty or what's beautiful or like what type of body is in or out," she explained. "You see it on the cover of all these magazines. It's like Kim Kardashian gained weight, I'm like, 'Good, she's pregnant! That's healthy, that's normal, she's making a child.'"
Ariana is preparing to release her third studio album Moonlight.
She is delighted for fans to hear new sounds, as the songs are unlike anything the star has recorded before.
"It's my best album yet," Ariana said. "It's like an evolution. It's like a progression and it feels very me, but it feels like a more evolved version. It's a little more forward."
