Ariana Grande and Big Sean have put an end to their romance.
The Hollywood couple began dating about eight months ago and it appeared they were perfectly in love.
But representatives confirmed in a joint statement on Monday their relationship has officially come to an end.
"They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends," the spokesperson told Us Weekly magazine. "We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."
Sources claim Ariana and Big Sean, real name Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, decided to part ways a few weeks ago.
The split was reportedly amicable with no hostility present whatsoever.
"They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year," the insider detailed.
Ariana, 21, and Big Sean, 27, confirmed they were dating back in October 2014 and before they split this spring, the cute couple appeared onstage together at various concerts in addition to walking the red carpet at lavish entertainment events like the 2015 Grammy Awards.
The Blessings hip hop star has previously gushed over how good his romance with Love Me Harder singer Ariana was going.
He noted the successful songstress' ambition really had him fall head over heels for her.
"What I like in women is when they got drive and focus, you know what I mean? That's what I like, I attach to, I appreciate, because I got drive, I got focus, too. And every day I'm like, 'You gotta get it,'" he revealed during an interview on The Real.
