Ariana Grande doesn't spend time worrying about diva rumours.
The American singer has been hit by damning comments surrounding her supposed high-maintenance behaviour, which include only being photographed from the left side of her face. While she's spoken at length about how hurtful these remarks have been, the 21-year-old has now decided not to waste time dwelling on them.
"I've sort of decided that it's my life and I get to decide what gets my attention. There's so much love and so many beautiful things happening right now. I feel like if I'm not celebrating that every second, I'm wasting my time and taking it for granted. I'd much rather focus on the positives than be concerned with stuff like that," Ariana smiled to British magazine Now.
Despite the gossip, Ariana put on a show-stopping performance at this weekend's American Music Awards. She sang a mash-up of hit tracks Problem, Break Free and Love Me Harder and also took to the stage with fellow singers Jessie J and Nicki Minaj to belt out Bang Bang.
While Ariana has a loyal fan following, not everyone is singing her praises. Legendary performer Bette Midler recently spoke about how ridiculous she finds Ariana's raunchy music videos and voice.
"It's terrible! It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, slithering around on a couch, looking so ridiculous. I mean, it's silly beyond belief and I don't know whos telling her to do it. I wish they'd stop," Bette fumed to British newspaper The Telegraph.
"But it's not my business, I'm not her mother. Or her manager. Maybe they tell them that's what you've got to do. Sex sells. Sex has always sold."
