Ariana Grande feared she was going to be murdered when she went to Imogen Heap's house for dinner.
The 22-year-old singer is a huge fan of British singer-songwriter Imogen, and was blown away when she was invited over to her house while in the UK recently.
But as she travelled to Imogen's house, Ariana began to become concerned that she was being 'Catfished' - and it was actually a random person pretending to be Imogen rather than the singer herself.
"My all time favourite artist is Imogen Heap. I love her, I'm obsessed with her," Ariana told Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday night (14Jan16). "She's incredible, she's a genius and I've loved her forever. There was an email that came in that was like, 'Hey, Imogen heard that Ariana has a concert in the UK and would like to have her over for dinner'. And I was like, 'Oh my god, this isn't real!'
"And I was on my way to her house and it was a really long, long drive and eventually I thought I was being Catfished. I thought it wasn't going to happen. I was like, 'She doesn't want to have dinner with me, is this all a joke? I'm driving to my death right now, I'm going to be murdered'. And it ended up being her and it was a pleasant surprise!"
Ariana added she was so overwhelmed by the prospect of meeting her idol that she ended up becoming incredibly withdrawn, barely saying anything. In fact, the whole evening was "such a blur" that she can't even remember what meal Imogen had prepared for her.
"She cooked for me, it was really nice," Ariana continued. "I forget what the meal was - the whole night was really a blur, I was really shy the whole time - I don't think I said anything. I was actually convinced that I had died and that was a dream."
