Ariana Grande's Yours Truly album, which features her hit The Way with Mac Miller, debuts atop the Billboard album chart this week.
With 78% of its sales coming from downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan, Yours Truly beat debuts from the excellent new Nine Inch Nails album and John Legend's Love in the Future.
Yours Truly sold 138,000 copies.
Grande can be seen in the new makeup book “Glitter and Glam: Dazzling Makeup Tips for Date Night, Club Night, and Beyond” (Penguin Group/Perigee Trade).
The paperback is written by Emmy award winning makeup artist Melanie Mills, who scooped up her Award as head makeup artist for Dancing with the Stars while creating her own body cosmetic line, Gleam by Melanie Mills.
She’s also earned Emmy nods for her work on the Oscars and the Nickelodeon series iCarly and Victorious, where she met Grande. Mills is a respected pro who is called upon to share tips in beauty and celebrity news magazines like Allure, Essence, InStyle, People, Shape and Us Weekly. Behind the scenes, she’s often leading a team of pros for fashion runway shows from coast to coast, including fashion week in New York and Los Angeles.
According to Billboard, Grande, one of the stars of the Nickelodeon series Victorious, is the first female artist to have her debut album enter the chart since Ke$ha did it with Animal on Jan. 10.
