Ariana Grande is convinced homophobic people are "spiritually unenlightened and dumb" compared to those who practice acceptance.
The 22-year-old singer-and-actress is not a fan of intolerance.
When she learns of people hating on others due to race, sexuality, gender or any other classification, Ariana becomes a "raging lunatic" because she is a huge advocate of equal rights for everyone.
"When you see someone you love hurting, for such a superficial, bulls**t reason, it's like, how small and spiritually unenlightened and dumb as f**k can a person be?" she noted in an interview with V Magazine for the publication's October issue.
Ariana credits her upbringing with creating such an open mindset when it comes to accepting other people's lifestyles.
She wasn't exposed to close-mindedness in her nuclear family and the issue of gay rights is particularly sensitive for her.
"You know, my brother is gay, all of my best friends are gay," she explained. "When my brother came out of the closet, it wasn't a big deal for my family. Even my grandpa, who is like, super old-school, was like, Good for you!"
Ariana has quite a lot on her plate on the professional front.
She is currently promoting her fresh TV series Scream Queens and the multitalented entertainer is also preparing for the release of her new album Moonlight.
Ariana believes Moonlight is her "most personal" work to date.
"It's scary, it's vulnerable and kind of terrifying," she noted.
But even though she split from rapper Big Sean in April after dating for eight months, do not expect to hear any songs about their parting on Moonlight.
"There aren't any breakup anthems because I had moved on. I was like, alright. Well, f**k it," Ariana said.
The star's third studio album Moonlight is slated to reach shelves this fall (15).
