Ariana Grande has hit back at her ex-boyfriend's cheating allegations.
The American singer has been targeted by her former flame Jai Brooks, who claims Ariana was unfaithful to him with The Wanted singer Nathan Sykes.
After reading Jai's lengthy Twitter post this morning, where he accuses Nathan of "interfering" before they broke up in February, Ariana took to her own profile to voice her outrage at her ex-boyfriends comments.
"Woke up this morning in complete and utter shock... I guess I shouldn't be so surprised," she told her followers. "You said to me if I didn't come back to you, you'd make me look bad to the entire world... I'm no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore."
Ariana had only just arrived in London when she discovered the news but this didn't stop her from defending herself against the negative accusations. She also took the time to pass on some from-the-heart advice to her female fans and encouraged them to stand up for themselves.
"I'm going to be the lady my mother raised and carry myself with class and dignity... But I will never be any man's press opportunity," she continued. "Girls... RESPECT YOURSELVES. Keep your head held high and speak only kind words. Know your truth... no one can ever take that away from you.
"It's always ok to defend yourself. My fans know what kind of person I am. Never let any man discredit u or the values you were raised with (sic)".
Ariana and Nathan, both 20, announced their romance online last month. They admitted to trying to keep it a secret but were happy to reveal the news and how happy they are.
"So, I guess it's obvious now . thanks to everyone who is being so lovely. I'm so happy ?? #butweareterrified #pleasedontkillme #orariana (sic)," Nathan wrote.
Ariana added: "we hesitated saying anything as people can be a bit insensitive but thank u ? we value all of your happiness, thank you for valuing ours (sic)."
