The pair are believed to have started dating after Hough appeared as a dancer in one of Cole’s videos following her split from husband Ashley Cole.
However, a source told The Sun that it could be the end of the road for the couple, and Hough has arranged a crisis talk to find out where he stands.
A source explained: 'He arranged the whole thing with [her mother] Joan and she suggested speaking to Cheryl face-to-face. She said her daughter has been down and confused lately. He said she seemed really happy to see him but couldn't tell what was going on in her head and seemed far less touchy-feely than when they went to South Africa.'
The insider added: 'He is going to have a heart-to-heart with her. He's half dreading it as he doesn't want to hear the worst. But part of him just needs to know where he stands.'
