CHERYL COLE is set to start working on some solo material.
A Girls Aloud spokesman has confirmed that all members of the girl group will "take time out" this year to work on their own projects, which will include acting, beauty, fashion and music.
He revealed that Cole, 25, has already approached a number of producers and said: "Her A&R people have approached various producers with the view to working with her.
"Until she has recorded music, we can't say who will be working on the record as we can't say at this stage what will make it past the idea stage."
Bandmate Sarah Harding will make her acting debut in the BBC Two drama Freefall, starring with Dominic Cooper.
Earlier this year, the group signed a new record deal promising three more albums, including one in autumn 2010.
