Cheryl Cole has earned the fastest selling single of 2012 with 'Call My Name' selling 152,000 copies in just one week.
The single shot straight to the top of the Official UK Singles Chart, easily beating the nearest competition from Flo Rida's 'Whistle'.
Speaking on Twitter about the single's success, Cheryl said: "152,000 WOW.. Woah." Adding: "Thank you Sooo much !! Congrats !! :D"
'Call My Name's huge first week sales were higher than both DJ Fresh and Rita Ora's 'Hot Right Now' (128,000) and Gary Barlow's Jubilee single 'Sing' (142,000).
Other new entries in the Singles Chart this week came from Trey Songz, Justin Bieber and The Voice's Tyler James. Meanwhile, in the official Album Chart, there were new entries for Amy MacDonald, Usher, Fleetwood Mac, Maximo Park, Hot Chip, Stone Roses, Johnny Cash, Neil Young and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.
