Cheryl Cole briefly became an air hostess as she flew to Afghanistan to visit British troops.
The Girls Aloud star handed out food to troops who were also on her flight to the war-torn country.
One soldier told The Sun: "Everyone was over the moon to see her. When she started handing out food boxes it was incredible. Everyone was really impressed, she didn't have to do that."
Cole flew from RAF Brize Norton after receiving hostile environment training in preparation for the trip.
The former X Factor judge's visit to Camp Bastion in the Helmand province will see her meet-up with soliders, sailors and those wounded in action.
It coincides with 10 years of British operations in the country.
