Funds raised by the Dave Matthews Band concert in San Francisco last year will help children and the homeless.
The band performed in Golden Gate Park September 12th and asked concert-goers to donate 25, 50 or 100 dollars instead of buying a ticket. They raised one million dollars. San Francisco's mayor has announced how the funds will be distributed. One-quarter will go to renovating a playground. Another quarter will go to a program that runs a summer camp for kids with life-threatening illnesses. The rest will go toward efforts to reduce homelessness in San Francisco.document.write(unescape("
