The driver of the Dave Matthews Band bus who allegedly dumped waste into the Chicago River will face criminal charges.
Stefan Wohl has been charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless conduct and discharging contaminates to cause water pollution. The charges carry a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a ten-thousand-dollar fine. Authorities say Wohl was driving over a bridge August eighth when he emptied the bus septic tank into the river. The waste hit a tour boat with more than 100 passengers on board. The band was not on the bus at the time.
Wohl and the Dave Matthews Band also face a civil suit filed by the state of Illinois.document.write(unescape("
