"Its true! @nbcthevoice," she captioned the image.
Fellow judge and singer Christina Aguilera made the announcement before NBC's official press statement to the media. The singer confirmed the news on her Twitter account.
"So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani," Christina tweeted. "Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses- xoxo #blondesdoitbest."
Gwen's deal is reportedly for one season, with Christina expected to return to the hit singing competition for season eight. She is currently expecting a baby with her fiancé Matt Rutler, so is taking a break to concentrate on her family.

Current judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, as well as host Carson Daly, have all expressed their excitement at having the Happy hitmaker join the team, with Adam gushing he "loves everything" about the star.
Both Gwen and Pharrell are set to perform on the Monday, May 5 telecast of the show. Pharell will take to the stage with his new single, Come Get It Bae while Gwen will be singing her 2005 hit Hollaback Girl.
Original cast members Adam and Blake have yet to make announcements if they are returning to the show this Fall. Pharrell will be replacing judge CeeLo Green.
