Gwen Stefani wrote almost half of the songs on her new album a month ago.
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the No Doubt frontwoman said that it is "unbelievable" how quickly she developed her latest solo album, This is What the Truth Feels Like.
"About four or five of the songs I just wrote in January. So it's just really cool to make music and be in real time and share it with everybody and feel everybody's love and support and energy. It's just been a magical record," she gushed.
Inevitably, the conversation quickly turned to whether Gwen's new boyfriend Blake Shelton had anything to do with her fast work, though the 46-year-old was reticent to tell Ellen if the country music star was her creative muse.
"I thought it would be a good idea not to talk about Blake," she said, blushing a shade close to the sheer pink blouse she was wearing.
Undeterred, Ellen continued to show photos of the couple, including a shot of Gwen sitting on Blake's lap at Clive Davis' pre-Grammys party earlier this month (Feb16).
"They didn't have enough chairs at that event?" Ellen quipped, causing the platinum blonde beauty to burst out laughing.
Despite the giggles, Gwen still shied away from commenting on her personal life.
The pair went public with their relationship last November. Before that the Hollaback Girl singer was married for 13 years to Gavin Rossdale, who is the father of her three children.
They finalised their split in October (15), three months after Blake and ex Miranda Lambert announced their divorce.
Ellen asked Gwen how Blake "popped the big question" for her to be one of his team's mentor on the upcoming season of The Voice.
"Did you rehearse that (question) before?" former Voice judge Gwen laughed, adding, "I want to be on that show as much as possible. I got so much out of it."
"Yeah, ya did," Ellen shot back, sending Gwen into a giggle fit once again.
