Gwen Stefani finds taking selfies awkward.
The US pop star was relatively late to the Instagram game, only joining the photo sharing site last January.
Her first post was announcing the sex of her then newborn baby boy Apollo, the third child she has with husband Gavin Rossdale. While her feed does feature some solo shots, Gwen tends to steer clear of anything too self indulgent.
"It took me a while to get into. It's so awkward. Who said it's OK for me to sit in my kitchen and take pictures of myself until I find one I like?" Gwen asked the British edition of Cosmopolitan.
Gwen and Gavin tied the knot in 2002, and are thought of as one of the strongest unions in showbiz. She admits she still thinks of her husband as hot, and he still pens her sweet notes.
Another man who is a prominent figure in Gwen's life is Pharrell Williams. They both act as mentors on The Voice US, and recently worked on track Spark the Fire together.
"My first time out of the house [after] having the baby [Apollo] was reuniting with Pharrell at Coachella music festival. To see him go from being this producer taking over the world and being a solo artist - he's just so talented," she gushed.
As for her own career, despite enjoying more than 20 years in the industry, the 45-year-old still can't believe she's a working artist.
"It's mind-blowing! For me, I've never gotten to a point where I felt, 'OK, I've made it, I'm number one!' It's an amazing feeling to hit number one," she smiled.
