Gwen Stefani has filed for divorce from her husband Gavin Rossdale.
The pair first tied the knot in 2002 and they are parents to sons Kingston, nine, Zuma, six, and Apollo, 17 months.
But despite being one of Hollywood's most coveted couples, Gwen and Gavin just can't move on with their marriage.
"While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment," the couple shared in a statement released to TMZ. "To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."
The outlet reports the former flames have both filed for joint custody of their children. Apparently there was no prenuptial agreement in place, meaning distributing their marital assets might be the most difficult part of their divorce. Under California law if there is no pre-nup a 50/50 property distribution is applied.
In divorce papers obtained by the website, it's claimed Gwen, 45, ticked the box asking for the court not to award Gavin, 49, with spousal support.
Gavin, the former frontman of hit rock band Bush, is said to be worth $35 million while Gwen has an estimated net worth of $80 million.
Earlier this year, Gwen gushed over her magnificent marriage to Gavin.
"If I look back on the whole thing the one thing that's been constant is that we both want the same thing," she told the Today show, before welling up. "We both want to be married. We both want to be good parents, and so I feel really proud of what we've done together and that we don't...You're gonna get me crying, no don't, I'm going to get all emotional! But I am really proud of it."
