After hitting the road opening for Carrie Underwood, Grammy-nominated rising country star Hunter Hayes will bring his headliner game to New York's Webster Hall on June 18 for a very special performance.
The show, part of the MTV Artist to Watch live series, will be livestreamed on MTV.com with select performances available for on-demand viewing afterwards on Artists.MTV.com.
Hayes, 21, the youngest male solo singer to have a #1 song on the Billboard Hot Country chart, joins the eclectic roster of Artist to Watch acts who've played gigs in New York and other cities in support of the pro-artist initiative. Among the shows that have already taken place are gigs by EDM stars Zedd and Robert DeLong, British singer Jessie Ware, rockers Twenty One Pilots, producer-vocalist pop duo Timeflies and burgeoning teen star Austin Mahone.
A multi-talented writer, musician, producer and singer, Hayes was nominated for three Grammys and six Academy of Country Music Awards this year, including nods for his songwriting and producing. His acclaimed self-titled debut has already launched two #1 singles and is nearing platinum status.
Louisiana native Hayes has been at it for years already, playing sold out shows across the U.S. and Canada on his Most Wanted headlining tour after previously sharing the stage with everyone from Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban, to Lady Antebellum, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, Hank Williams, Jr. and Stevie Wonder.
Hayes' Webster Hall show is open to fans 16 and over with and ID and tickets can be purchased here beginning on Friday.
