Overview
James Brown is reported to be fighting cancer.
The funk legend, 71, will undergo an operation next week (December 15) in an attempt to beat prostate cancer.
A statement reads: "I have overcome a lot of things in my life. I will overcome this as well."
Brown who has just completed a tour of Canada, is expected to spend the rest of the year in recovery.
Tour dates in the Far East and Australia are currently unchanged.
