The line stretched around the block for a free turkey and a peek at James Brown. Brown gave away a thousand turkeys in Augusta, Georgia, as part of his annual charity giveaway to help feed the needy.
Brown greeted the crowd and sang a bit with a live gospel band that was there to entertain people waiting. He led a prayer and ended with, "Now let's go get some turkey." Brown says, "Just look around and see everybody. This is family."
