Overview
The 22-year-old star will be seen in the role when the remake hits cinemas next year.
Speaking about the flick, she said: 'Obviously there's a lot of pressure being Ariel in Footloose, because it's such an iconic role.
'But at the same time, there was so much growth that the director and the writer put into her character, so there was a lot more development for her... It was really fun for me to kind of portray in my own way.'
Hough is also appearing opposite Cher and Christina Aguilera in new movie Burlesque and she said she was glad to be a part of it.
She said to ET: 'It was such a fun movie to be a part of with the amazing cast and ensemble. It was such a fun, easy transition, so I definitely learned a lot from it...'
