The star plays the rebellious teenager Ariel Moore in the new movie remake and her racecar driver boyfriend, played by Patrick John Flueger, is seen hitting her in one scene in the new movie.
Speaking about Seacrest's reaction, she said to E! Online: 'Ryan saw it and said: 'I can't watch that.'
'He was like: 'When he hits you I just want to punch the screen... When I see you pull some of those faces, those are the faces that I see, so you know it's so hard for me to watch.''
However she added: 'He's proud.'
