Justin Bieber thinks One Direction will be "the biggest boy band in the world" before the year is out.
The group - comprising of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson – recently made music history by becoming the first British band to top the US charts with their debut album, Up All Night.
Justin is no stranger to success at a young age, and the 18-year-old Canadian superstar realises the full potential of his fellow singers.
"The single guys from One Direction are going to have a lot of fun. They look great, they sound great and, when you add their British accents into the mix, the American girls are going crazy for them," he told British newspaper The Mirror.
"Sure you need the talent, but you need to win over the American public, that's what it is all about. One Direction are genuine good guys.
"The industry needs a fresh boy band, and by the end of this year they will be the biggest boy band in the world."
Justin also revealed a closely-guarded secret concerning 18-year-old band member Harry. The star has joked that a famous pop artist has her sights set on the British singer, but wouldn't spill the beans.
"I already know one of the biggest artists in the world thinks Harry is so hot, but I have been sworn to secrecy," he smiled.
