Singer Justin Bieber has confirmed a world tour to promote his latest album, Purpose.
The 21-year-old star already has three series of shows under his belt, with his last - Believe Tour - ending in 2013 after over 150 performances. Much to fans' delight, Justin is hitting the road once more and chose to share the news while talking to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
"I'm actually going on tour!" Justin revealed on an episode of her programme airing on Wednesday (11Nov15) when quizzed about his big news.
However, he had a mind blank when asked when the shows begin: "This was the only thing I had to remember, and I don't remember it. You can go to my website. What am I doing? I'm here to promote an album and a tour."
Luckily Ellen's crew were on hand to help, putting a graphic on screen in the studio informing viewers that the tour starts on 9 March 2016. Eager Beliebers can secure their seats when tickets go on sale next week (beg16Nov15). Purpose has already got fans excited ahead of its release on Friday (13Nov15), with singles What Do You Mean? and Sorry showcasing his new, grown-up sound.
Justin is known for opening up to Ellen and was also on her show on Monday (09Nov11), where he spoke about his former relationship with fellow singer Selena Gomez. The pair split for good last October (14) after an on-off relationship which began in 2011, but Justin seemed to hint there could be a reconciliation one day.
"Um maybe," Justin said. "We have a lot of history together and I am sure it could possibly happen. I think we are both just on our own journeys and figuring ourselves out and I think maybe once we figure ourselves out we can come back and make an awesome duo or she finds someone awesome and I'll find someone awesome. I just want her to be happy."
