Justin Bieber may have just topped the charts with Believe Acoustic, but that doesn't mean he's abandoned his Believe era. The singer has confirmed that he will drop his Drake collaboration, "Right Here," as the next single off the 2012 release.
"New single off of #BELIEVE ?? The next single u should blast up the iTunes Chart & request at radio?? I'm thinking #RightHere feat @Drake," he tweeted about his track with his longtime pal and fellow Canadian.
The song will get an official release on Tuesday, February 26 and he had this message for his fans to help spread the gospel of the swaggy, mid-tempo R&B jam, "#beliebers and #teambieber go hard. #7days #RightHere. Spread the word... #7days ... #RightHere." No word on if fans will get to see a video for the release anytime soon.
In May 2012, just weeks before Bieber dropped Believe, Drake called the "Right Here" "a good song." He wrote it for the teen singer, with Hit-Boy providing the production work on it.
Prior to that, Bieber opened up about their friendship to MTV News, noting that he feels like they are "kind of going on the same journey on different sides of the world." Then he revealed just what happens when he hits the studio with Drizzy.
"We talk about everything," Bieber said of their recording session. "He's a great guy and super-talented, and his melodies are crazy. When we go into the studio, he'll go in the booth and he'll do some melodies and we'll write. If I'm in the studio there's not really any time to mess around. It's always different, but always [there to] get the work done."
Bieber is currently abroad on his Believe tour, and on Tuesday, he also found out he's up for a handful of Juno Awards, along with Drake.
He'll face off against Drake in the Juno Fan Choice Award. Bieber is also up for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year for Believe. Drake squeezed in one more nod for Video of the Year for his Bar Mitvah-themed "HYFR" clip directed by Director X.
