The 17-year-old singer insisted that when it comes to clothes, all that matters to him is that they look good, regardless of which sex they are made for.
Talking to Life & Style magazine at Dolce & Gabbana's Fashion's Night Out in New York, he said: 'I've worn women's jeans before because they fit me. It's not a trend; it's just, whatever works, works.'
And he defended his 'style icon', Kanye West, who recently wore a woman’s jumper.
'It wasn't [so he'd] look like a woman in a sweater; it was just a regular sweater that happened to be a woman's, he said.
Asked if he has any plans to tie the knot with girlfriend Selena Gomez, he added: 'I don't know. I feel like if it happens, it happens. Right now I'm just focusing on my music, and I feel like it's going pretty well. I definitely believe in marriage - but not any time soon.'
