Seventeen-year-old Aussie Jamie Laou caused fury amongst the Belieber (the name for Bieber fans) community by criticising the singer for the amount of videos he uploads online.
Laou tweeted, 'If Justin loves his Beliebers so much, why hasn't he kept posting YouTube videos. Since that's why we subscribed him in the first place (sic)?'
Angry fans responded by trying to hack his Twitter and get his YouTube account banned, The Sun reported, at which point the man himself stepped in as a peacemaker.
Bieber wrote to Laou, 'Sorry I don't have any problems with you and I actually appreciate your support and other male fans. I appreciate everyone supporting.'
Laou added that he has also been receiving prank phone calls from disgruntled fans. 'Somebody creeped and found out my home number and called it a lot,' he said.
'They also hacked me and found my address. Also it has been leaked, spamming my address out in chats, this type of thing scares me. Scared for my family's safety.'
