While a Grammy Award remains out of Justin Bieber's sight for another year, the boy wonder seems to be putting all that behind him. He just confirmed that he's working on his next project: an acoustic album.
Bieber is currently in New York City, where he will play Z100's Jingle Ball on Friday (December 7) night, and is hard at work on his next batch of songs. "been writing alot...new stuff...and yeah. the acoustic album, new arrangements, is happening... #withdankanter," he tweeted on Thursday. Hours later, he added, "blessed to do what we do everyday. i love music. thanks."
The tweet seems to also imply that Bieber is working on a number of new tunes, both acoustic and otherwise. Bieber's tease also hints that the acoustic album may focus on tracks he's already released (perhaps off June's Believe?), but he's putting a brand-new spin on them. However, fans will have to wait until he drops something to find out just what it is he is up to.

And whatever it is he is recording is already getting rave reviews. He got two thumbs up from his pal, The Wanted's Nathan Sykes. He tweeted, "yeah man. People ain't gonna know what to think when they hear the new tunes #nextlevel see ya later bro."
This is not Bieber's first foray into unplugged music. In 2010 he released My Worlds Acoustic. That album featured re-visited versions of some of his most memorable tunes, including "Baby" and "One Less Lonely Girl." It also included a new track, "Pray."
At the time, he explained to MTV News that he wanted to use the acoustic album to show all his critics that he's a talented singer who doesn't rely on studio magic. "I really think that I did an acoustic album because there's a lot of haters out there that say, 'Justin Bieber can't sing. His voice is all Auto-Tuned,' " he shared at the time. "And there's a lot with production, it kind of drowns out your voice, and it takes away from the singer, over the synths and everything."
He further explained in that vintage interview, "I think kind of stripping it down and having it kind of really mellow and being able to hear my voice is why I wanted to do it."
