Justin Bieber has paid tribute to his music executive friend Thomas Ayad, who was killed in the attack on a concert in Paris, France, on Friday (13Nov15).
More than 80 revellers died and hundreds more were injured when gunmen entered the Eagles of Death Metal show and opened fire before detonating bombs as police stormed the Bataclan venue.
Among the victims was Thomas, an international product manager for Mercury Records, who worked with the rockers as well as pop star Justin. The Baby singer has now taken to Twitter to share his condolences.
"Still thinking about Paris and my friend Thomas that we lost in the tragedy," he wrote. "He was a part of the team for years and I wish I would've had more time to thank him. Make sure to appreciate people while you have them. Thanks Thomas for everything you did for me. You are appreciated and missed. Thoughts and prayers are with your family & friends. #PrayForParis."
This heartfelt gesture follows Justin's emotional concert in Los Angeles shortly after the tragedy. During a performance of his track I'll Show You, the 21-year-old star broke down in tears and had to leave the stage briefly to calm himself. It was the first of his gigs to promote his new album Purpose, which was released on the same day as the attacks.
"Had a great first show but just heard about what happened in Paris. Thoughts and prayers with everyone #PrayForParis," Justin wrote on Twitter after the show.
He also shared a photo of himself crying on Instagram, captioning the sweet shot: "Tears are healthy". The singer appeared overwhelmed by the support of fans after his concert, writing several posts thanking them.
