Justin Bieber: `Selena Gomez is a sweetheart`

The 16-year-old superstar wasn't giving much away when he was quizzed about his love life by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday.

He told audiences the pretty Wizards Of Waverly Place actress had shown up at a football game he was at with movie star Will Smith and son Jaden. But he dodged questions over whether it was an official date.

Asked whether it was tricky to find time in his hectic schedule for romance, he said, 'It's very hard but you know it happens. Yes you know, I like to hang out with girls and date and stuff like every other 16-year-old boy.'

Pressed about where he takes girls for dates, he said, 'Football games and stuff, yeah.

'It was weird. No one bothered me at all. I went to a game with Jaden and Will.'

Asked who provided the female company, he replied, 'Yes, and there was a girl there. Her name was Selena. '

Ellen asked, 'So y’all just happened to sit together?'

But Bieber would only reply, 'Yeah, it was the weirdest thing. She's sweet, she's a sweetheart.'
