Justin Bieber reportedly uses a flashlight to pick out potential dates.
The 19-year-old pop star often travels with a large entourage and members are said to carry torches inside nightclubs to help him get a better look at ladies.
The Canadian singer has an easy-to-follow method of getting his employees to line up a group of females for him to socialise with on any given evening, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror.
"Justin gets mobbed wherever he goes so his new think is to use a flashlight to look for ladies," a source said.
"He shines it around so girls look up and then if he likes the look of them he leaves the light on them," the insider explained.
"His minders and friends then know who he wants and go and ask if they want to join Justin in the VIP section of clubs and bars."
Justin most recently used the lighting device to land him two attractive cocktail waitresses at South Pointe club in the Hamptons.
Diana Bhokasub, 24, and Sophia Rayo, 32, followed him back to the house where he was staying, according to the New York Daily News.
"He used it in South Pointe and the two girls agreed to come with him, so it works for him and saves any hassle. Most girls don't seem to mind," the insider continued.
In the early hours of Sunday an altercation took place as Justin left the venue, despite being under the legal drinking age in America.
Police were called by the alleged victim, who has since been released from doctors' care.
Members of Justin's security are now reportedly under investigation for assault.
Justin has been criticised for his spoiled behaviour recently.
He allegedly spat on fans from a hotel balcony, a claim his spokesperson denies.
He was also recently pictured reportedly urinating in a janitor's mop bucket in the kitchen of a New York nightclub.
